UPCOMING IFFO EVENT

IFFO Annual Conference (21–23 October)

Lisbon, Portugal

As the annual meeting place for the global marine ingredients value chain, this conference will provide a dynamic overview of market and technical trends, discussing the diversifying sources and uses of marine ingredients, as well as fisheries management.

In brief: Marine ingredients strategic role in aquafeed formulation

In the 1990s, the design of feeds for aquaculture didn’t take into account the amount of nutrients that the animal can absorb and utilise.

A precision nutrition approach in aquafeeds takes into account species nutrient and energy needs and environmental footprint, ensuring that marine ingredients are used strategically and leveraging their greatest value.
